Following the intense scent trial, the judge officially rules that the security committee’s allegations hold no water, completely dismissing the demands for banishment.
Hitoshi Kanashima is declared innocent and officially recognized as a “friend” to the Kemo society, sparking celebration among the public. However, just as Hitoshi secures his safety, the peace is shattered by a shocking external twist. A single user on Tildes suspected that Director Labra intentionally withheld these rumors during the trial to keep Hitoshi indebted and make the public more accepting of human technology for future “peacekeeping” operations.
